Gold Medal Lofts is the historic renovation and adaptive reuse of two buildings built in 1894 from the Gold Medal Furniture Company’s industrial complex in Racine. New construction consists of the installation of new windows, MEPFs, and converted freight elevator systems into passenger cars. The exterior renovation includes complete tuckpoint of the brick facade, masonry saw-cut openings for windows and unit entries, a new roof on the north building, select demolition and repair to the existing skywalk, and a new surface parking lot and sidewalks.
