Originally built in 1919, the Brooke St. Lofts is the adaptive reuse of what was formerly the Northern Casket Company and Winnebago Cheese Company. Several phases of work included: masonry saw-cutting to create several new openings for windows, restoration of existing windows, new elevator shaft construction, installation of new reclaimed clay parapet caps on the entire building, tuckpointing, a new brick wall facade, and brick replacement, all with reclaimed bricks to maintain the buildings unique historic charm and character. These historic buildings were completely preserved and redeveloped to now offer affordable 1, 2, & 3 bedroom housing for the community of Fond Du Lac, WI. Additional amenities include a business center, community room, exercise room, and an outside area playground.
